Super-comfortable large apartment for our family of 4, including a nicely equipped kitchen and huge dining table that made it comfortable to "eat in" for breakfast and some lunches. Too many great restaurants in Berlin to warrant eating in for supper, including the restaurant in the hotel, which had spectacular middle-eastern food. Helpful and friendly hotel staff.

The price level is way too high for the offered comfort, quality, features and services of a hotel in Berlin. There are many equally centrally located hotels with better price-performance ratio.

We had a great stay in an apartment M size in this hotel. It provided enough space for 2 people. When we checked out we forgot some pieces of clothing, which we found out when we arrived home already. We were very concerned but after contacting the hotel and receiving such a friendly and promptly response we were very relieved. Only a few days later our forgotten clothes arrived by mail. We can highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed in an 'M' apartment with sofa bed at Hotel Amano for four nights. The apartment consisted of a bedroom/sitting/kitchen area and a bathroom. It was the perfect size for the two of us and was clean and well-maintained. The room was tidied and topped up with consumables such as toilet roll daily. Our apartment was on the third floor overlooking a park/graveyard and was quiet. We'd read reviews about noise from the bar, especially at weekends, but our stay included a Friday night and we heard no noise. The hotel staff were generally young, and while not overly friendly, they were helpful when approached. A couple of requests for a bath mat and regarding wifi were responded to quickly and effectively. The location of the hotel was brilliant - a 5-10 minute walk from Hackeschermarkt and the lovely Hackescherhof courtyards, and surrounded by a great choice of cafes, bars and restaurants within easy walking distance (For breakfast Milch halle (particularly lovely staff), Factory Girl, Cafe Tillman, Zeit fur Brot were all good, and for dinner locally we enjoyed casual meals at Supreme Burger and Lovebirds Pizza (they'll make your pizza heart-shaped if you ask!). We also had a great meal at Salamat - northern Iraqi food - lovely restaurant, excellent, friendly and attentive service and delicious food. We loved the area where the hotel was located and we found it within easy walking distance of most of the centrally located tourist attractions. There was a larger Rewe supermarket within 10-15 minutes walk for a wider variety of provisions, as well as a couple of smaller, local minimarkets within a few minutes walk. We'd definitely recommend this hotel/area for a stay in Berlin.
